The support of the European Commission continues to be a key driver of primary care reform across EU Member States. This was one of the main takeaways from the conference and was also highlighted in the opening video “Turning EU Support into Action: Implementing Multiprofessional Primary Care Across Europe”.
Primary Care in Austria
Thanks to RRF funding, Austria has made significant progress in strengthening primary health care, including:
- The expansion of Primary Health Care Units (PHCUs)
- The development and growth of the Austrian Primary Health Care Platform
- Targeted support through the PHCU Accelerator
- Enhanced research and international collaboration
These achievements are documented in our Interim Report “Enhancing and Promoting Primary Health Care in Austria”, published at the conference.
Let’s keep the momentum going – together, we can ensure that multiprofessional, community-based and innovative primary care becomes a reality for everyone in Austria.
Better together
The conference was jointly organised by Gesundheit Österreich GmbH and the European Forum for Primary Care (EFPC). A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the conference!
